It’s the perfect time to step outside and capture what really matters: your family, just as they are.
No stiff posing. No forced smiles. Just real joy, genuine connection, and the kind of sibling silliness that makes a parent’s heart swell. That’s the kind of photography I love — relaxed, honest, and bathed in natural light.

My family sessions are laid-back and pressure-free. You don’t need to worry about perfect outfits or perfect behavior — I’m here to document your family as you are. We’ll laugh, explore, play, and I’ll guide you just enough so that you feel comfortable while still letting the natural moments unfold.
Whether we’re in the foothills like this, in a local open space, or running through a sun-soaked field, my goal is to capture your story in a way that feels real.

Just a little shout out...
I have to throw a little shout out to my friend Wendee. This woman has grit and grace in spades! We had a little chat a few months ago about possibly creating a few fresh branding images for her company Cornerstone Botanicals. We talked about it on a Tuesday afternoon and by Thursday evening we made it happen! It was just that easy!
Wendee is in the process of training for an ironman and I really wanted to capture her in motion, in the foothills with some beautiful light. Thankfully we got a gorgeous evening and perfect weather! Here's a few captures from the session.
Is it really the end of February??
Good Grief! I think it's really the end of February! I never understand how winter in Colorado is both fast and slow. In terms of photography winter is definitely a quiet season for me. This is not a bad thing. I tend to put down the camera in favor of picking up the paintbrush in the winter months. Trading one tool of expression for another...I think this is good. I love both.
Of course we are by no means through winter yet. The deepest snows are most likely still to come, but I am starting to think spring and photo sessions and am looking forward to seeing some of your lovely faces! So this post is just to say, "Hello almost Spring! I'm still waiting for you!"

I had the joy of photographing this family last month over at RiverBend Ponds. Sometimes I forget how much I enjoy that space. We just wandered and took photos and played. I loved it and I hope they loved it! I really enjoy sessions that are super relaxed with no big agenda, just ordinary me out there catching the light and a few stolen moments with lovely souls.
Friends
Everything is better with friends! This was a super fun session with my daughter and 2 of her closest friends. It's always a bit of a challenge to photograph more than one senior at once cause I'm trying to give them all equal camera time and that can be hard to pull off! But we got a great evening for it with amazing light and as an added bonus we got to see a mama bear and her 2 cubs just after the sun started going down in the foothills. Very unique end to this group session!
